Cyber Essentials Accreditation

What is Cyber Essentials?

Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-backed scheme that helps businesses, especially SMEs, strengthen their IT defences and show their commitment to cyber security. It covers five basic controls that protect against the most common cyber attacks:

  • Boundary Firewalls and Internet Gateways
  • Secure Configuration
  • Security Update Management
  • User Access Control
  • Malware Protection
Do we need Cyber Essentials?

It depends on your business. It’s mandatory if you work with Government supply chains or bid for certain commercial tenders. For other businesses, it’s optional but gives you a strong competitive advantage by showing customers you take security seriously. We can help you achieve accreditation either way.

What’s the difference between Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus?

Cyber Essentials is awarded through an online self-assessment. Cyber Essentials Plus involves a hands-on technical assessment by a certified expert, including device audits, vulnerability scans, and testing your email and browser security against real threats.

Is Sprint Integration Cyber Essentials Plus certified?

Yes. Sprint Integration holds Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation, so when we help you achieve certification, we’re guiding you through a process we’ve been independently assessed against ourselves.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

What backup and disaster recovery do you offer?

We provide enterprise-grade backup solutions in partnership with industry leaders Datto and Sophos, including automated snapshot backups, granular file recovery, and Office 365 and SaaS data protection. We also help you build a solid Business Continuity Plan, so you can get back up and running as quickly as possible after any disruption.

Does Microsoft Office 365 back up our data?

No. Microsoft’s SLA states they’re not liable for data loss from app outages or ransomware, and they recommend third-party backup. We partner with industry leaders Datto and Sophos to give you enterprise-grade protection at small business pricing.

How quickly can you restore our data?

We offer granular file restoration, so you can recover exactly what you need. Speed depends on the scope of your recovery plan, but our systems are designed to get you back up and running as quickly as possible with minimal disruption to your business.

What disasters does this protect against?

Infrastructure & Recycling

What infrastructure services do you provide?

We help businesses source the right hardware and software through our strong vendor relationships, allowing us to buy in volume and pass the savings on to you. As Microsoft Partners, we also provide the full Microsoft suite, including Office 365, with flexible plans to suit your needs. We also offer sustainable recycling for old IT equipment.

Do you handle equipment recycling?

Yes. We work with our recycling partners to responsibly dispose of old IT equipment, passing it on to be reused or recycled wherever possible. Reusable components, like copper from circuit boards, are removed and repurposed. All data drives are sent to be crushed, and we can issue certificates as proof of destruction.

Can you help us purchase new hardware or software?

Yes. We have strong relationships with all the major vendors, allowing us to secure the best deals on hardware. For software, you can choose to purchase outright or pay through a monthly subscription — whichever suits your business best.
