The IT risks logistics firms are carrying right now

4.6%Of all ransomware attacks in 2025 targeted food & staples and transportation businesses – among the higher-risk sectors for essential goods movers.1
24.6 daysAverage downtime following a ransomware attack – each day fleets, depots, and deliveries can grind to a halt.2
700Jobs lost when a single weak password led to a ransomware attack that forced a 158-year-old UK haulage firm into collapse.3

IT support built around how logistics firms actually operate

Sprint Integration provides fully managed IT support, cyber security, and connectivity designed for how logistics businesses actually run – fleets on the road, depots across multiple sites, and systems that can’t afford downtime.

Fleet & dispatch continuity

Resilient connectivity and rapid-response support so telematics, routing, and dispatch systems stay online when a load is on the clock.

Multi-site depot connectivity

Reliable broadband, mobile data, and VoIP so depots, warehouses, and head office stay connected wherever the operation runs.

TMS & WMS data protection

Treating transport management and warehouse data as the operational lifeline it is, with controls against loss, corruption, and unauthorised access.

Backup & disaster recovery

Tested recovery plans so route data, stock records, and customer shipments survive a hardware failure or attack – not just backed up and hoped for.

Cyber security for a targeted sector

Endpoint protection, phishing defence, and monitoring built for an industry attackers know can’t afford to stay offline.

Dedicated engineers and a named Project Manager

Support from people who understand fleets, depots, and time-critical operations, with a Relationship Manager included for larger teams.

Logistics Industry

The challenge

Alpi UK Ltd operates across five sites, four in the UK and one in Poland, supporting around 200 users who depend on stable, secure connectivity between offices and cloud platforms. Their existing Sophos firewall estate had grown inconsistent over time, creating mismatched configurations, weaker performance at certain sites, and no centralised visibility. Managing policies and troubleshooting issues had become increasingly complex, and supporting the Polish site remotely added further operational difficulty.

What Sprint did

Sprint Integration designed and deployed a standardised firewall solution using WatchGuard Firebox appliances across all five locations. Firewalls were pre-configured and fully tested before rollout, with UK sites migrated sequentially outside business hours to rationalise and standardise existing configurations. For the Poland site, the firewall was pre-configured, shipped directly with plug-in instructions, and installed on-site by non-technical staff, removing the need for on-site engineering. Secure site-to-site VPN connectivity was then established across all locations, backed by centralised management through WatchGuard Cloud.

The results
5Sites standardised across the UK and Poland
~200Users supported by the new firewall estate
ZeroOn-site engineering needed for the Poland deployment

Questions logistics and transport businesses ask us

Do you have experience working with logistics and transport businesses?

Yes. We support hauliers, freight forwarders, warehousing operators, and last-mile delivery firms, building IT infrastructure around the realities of fleet operations, multi-site depots, and time-critical delivery windows.

How do you keep fleet and dispatch systems running if we lose connectivity?

We build resilience in from the start – backup connections, remote failover, and rapid-response support – so a dropped line at a depot doesn’t stall dispatch or routing.

What happens if our TMS or WMS data is lost or corrupted?

Our backup and disaster recovery processes are tested specifically to protect operational systems like transport and warehouse management platforms, so a failure or attack doesn’t mean losing route plans, stock records, or shipment data.

Do you offer IT support for small logistics operators, or just larger fleets?

We support small logistics and transport businesses (5–200 employees) across London, Essex, and the South East, with flexible, scalable solutions that grow with your fleet.

How much does managed IT support cost for a logistics business?

Pricing typically ranges from £45 to £75 per user, per month, depending on support level, cyber security inclusion, and whether Microsoft 365 is bundled in.
