The challenge

As a well-established accountancy firm, Cooper Paul relied heavily on their on-premises systems for core business applications, data processing, and client support. However, their aging infrastructure was struggling to keep pace with their growth. Internal network performance constraints were creating severe bottlenecks, threatening daily productivity. Furthermore, limited visibility into network health meant issues couldn’t be proactively addressed, and as a client-facing firm, they couldn’t afford the downtime risks associated with upgrading their legacy hardware.

What Sprint did

Sprint Integration designed a targeted, high-performance infrastructure upgrade meant to eliminate constraints without disrupting operations. The approach included deploying two new enterprise-grade network switches interconnected with a high-speed 10Gbps fibre link to completely remove switching bottlenecks. Sprint also installed a 10Gbps network adapter within their key on-premise server, implemented advanced network monitoring tools for complete proactive visibility, and scheduled the entire upgrade outside of standard business hours to ensure absolutely no disruption to staff or clients.

The results
10GbpsCore throughput delivering noticeably faster access
0Downtime during transition and hardware replacement
100%Security support restored and future-proofed

Questions retail businesses ask us

Do you have experience working with retail businesses?

Yes. We support retailers from independent shops to multi-site groups, building IT around POS uptime, e-commerce platforms, and payment security.

How do you help protect against the kind of attacks that hit M&S and Co-op in 2025?

We put layered defences in place — endpoint protection, phishing defence, access controls, and monitoring — specifically designed to reduce the risk of the ransomware and third-party access issues behind those incidents.

What happens if our till or website goes down during trading hours?

We build resilience and rapid-response support in from the start, so a system failure at peak trade gets fixed fast, not left to disrupt sales.

Do you offer IT support for single stores, or just multi-site retail groups?

We support retail businesses of all sizes across London, Essex, and the South East, with flexible, scalable solutions.

How much does managed IT support cost for a retail business?

Pricing typically ranges from £45 to £75 per user, per month, depending on support level, cyber security inclusion, and whether Microsoft 365 is bundled in.
